PENGARUH EKSTRAK KENTANG DAN AIR KELAPA MUDA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN PLANLET Dendrobium sp PADA MEDIA VACIN DAN WENT

Abstract

This study aims at determining the effect of the extract of potato and green coconut water on the growth of plantlets of Dendrobium sp. on MS media in vitro. This research was carried out in the UPT Tissue Culture laboratory BBI Gedung Johor Agriculture Office of North Sumatra Province that was conducted on April to June 2019. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is the extraction of potato consisting of 4 levels : K0=0 cc/l water, K1=50 cc/l water, K2=75 cc/l water and K3=100 cc/l water. The second factor is the provision of young coconut water which consists of 4 levels: A0=0 ml/l water, A1=50 ml/l water, A2=100 ml/l water and A3=150 ml/l water. The results showed that the extract of potato had no significantly effect increasing the number of roots, plantlet height, number of shoots, number of leaves and leaf length. The provision of coconut water had no significant effect on plantlet height, the number of roots, number of shoots, number of leaves and length of leaves. The interaction of potato extract and young coconut water had no significant effect on all parameters observed.
