Abstract

An instrument for measuring wind speed and direction is designed. The electronic circuit of the measuring instrument consists of a power supply circuit to supply voltage to all circuits, the minimum circuit of the microcontroller system serves to receive data bits from the wind speed and direction sensor, the LCD circuit serves to display wind speed and direction information, and a photodiode circuit as an infrared sensor for measuring wind speed and direction, detects the presence or absence of infrared that passes from the hole and is reflected. The propeller on the tool is in the form of a windmill that is rotated by the wind, the propeller rotates so the holes made in the disc rotate too. The designed tool can measure wind speed and wind direction from north, south, west, and east.
