Abstract
This study goals to determine the effect of personal and social factors on student decisions making to choose Economics Faculty Darma Agung University (FE-UDA). The population in this study were 843 students with sample of 89 respondents. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression where Y = 13.041 + 0.084X1 + 0.305X2 and the t test where the t-value of 1.034 < t- table 1.662 and sig. 0.304 > 0.05 indicates that personal factors have no effect on student decisions to choose FE-UDA. T-count 3.331 > t-table 1.662 and sig. 0.001 < 0.05 indicates that social factors have a positive and significant effect on student decisions to choose FE-UDA. Based on the results of the f-test, F-count > F-table is 11.463 > 3.10 and sig. (0.000) < (0.05), indicating that personal factors and social factors simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on student decisions to choose FE-UDA. Based on coefficient of determination (R2), the Adjusted R-square value is 0.192 or 19.2%, indicating that the student's decision to choose Economics Faculty is explained by the variables of personal and social components of 19.2% while the remaining 80.8% is explained by another factors.
