Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of GA3 concentration on the growth and production of two (2) varieties of potato (Sonajum tuberisum L.). The study was conducted at the experimental farm of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Darma Agung is located at Jl. Binjai km 10.5 with altitude research 32 meters above sea level.

This study uses a randomized block design (RBD) factorial, with two treatment factors first consists of seed potato varieties, namely : V1 = farieties Granola and V2 = varietas Selek Tani.  The second factor is the concentration of Gibberellins (GA3) wich consists of 3 levels : G0 = 0 ppm, G1 = 1 ppm, G2 = 6 ppm dan G3 = 9 ppm.

The result swoded that potato varieties are very real increase plant height, relative growth rate, the production of tubers per sample, the production of tubers per plot, but no markedly incrase the number of stolons per plant and quality of potato tubers.  Granola varieties (V1) does not produce tubers, whereas varieties Selek Tani (V2) bulbs produce small amounts.

Giving Giberelin very significantly increase plant height, relative growth rate and number of slonos per plant, but not significant effect on the production of tubers per sample, the produciton of tubers per plot and quality of potato tuber produced.

Interaction potato varieties and the provision of Gibberellin afect plant heigh was not significantly affected, relative growth rate, the production of tubers per sample, the production of tubers per plot, number of stolons per plant and quality of potato tubers.
