The ultrasonic sensor is a distance detection device equipped with a transmitter and receiver that works at a frequency of 40 KHz. The working principle of ultrasonic sensors is that a signal is transmitted to the intended target, after arriving at the intended target, the signal is reflected. The reflected signal is received by the ultrasonic sensor receiver. The amount of the reflected signal received by the ultrasonic sensor is influenced by the distance between the transmitter and the target object. The farther the target object is, the smaller the reflected signal received by the ultrasonic sensor. Measuring instruments for measuring distances are generally still done manually, namely still using conventional meters. The meter is pulled from a point to the point to be measured, if the meter length is less then it is moved to the end to be measured and then pulled again. The distance to be measured, for example in the form of height, the operator will climb up to the high point to be measured. If what is being measured is the width of a cliff, the operator will go down and up to the point to be measured. Using a wireless distance meter, the operator can simply point the ultrasonic sensor towards the point to be measured and the measurement results are displayed on the laptop.
