Abstrak

Flicker or repetitive voltage fluctuation is a short-term voltage in a short time that arises as a result of changes in the power system load that occurs suddenly with certain load characteristics. Flickers caused by electrical loads such as electric motors, electric smelting, and electric welding in their operations will affect other electrical equipment that is connected at the same point as the load that causes the flicker. There are 3 points, namely points A, B, and C as observation points whether the installation of 55 KW asynchronous motor at these points meets the limits of voltage fluctuations that occur at start. From the calculation results obtained, the installation of 55 KW motor on the network only meets at point A with a permissible flicker limit of 4%. Means, the closer the position of the electrical equipment at the transformer service point, the smaller the occurrence of flicker interference caused by the electrical equipment.
